Club Name: Amnesty International Victoria College
The Amnesty International Victoria College club aims to promote awareness within the Victoria College community about human rights abuses occurring both in Canada and abroad, and to provide a forum for discussion about the meaning and importance of human rights. The club members meet biweekly to discuss human rights issues and write letters to protest human rights violations, as well as to plan larger events for the Victoria College community, such as the ‘Write for Rights’ write-a-thon and human rights- themed documentary screenings. The club maintains a relationship with the Amnesty International Toronto office and aims to uphold the principles and objectives of Amnesty International.
