Bear Pals

Bear Pals

Bear Pals is an organization dedicated to making teddy bears for children overseas who are alone and could use a friend.  Having a stuffed toy acts as someone they can talk to, love, and in their eyes, love them back as well, thereby improving their well-being. The bears are knitted or crocheted, and then donated to Canadian Food for Children, a reputable charity that sends out crates of food, clothing and other necessities to areas in Africa, South American and the Philippines.  Our informal meetings are a great opportunity to relax, socialize, and ‘bear-make’, (or learn how!)

So, if you know how to knit, care to crochet or would like to learn, contact us for more information! (No experience necessary; supplies and instructions provided)
